He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gordon and Esther A. DeLand. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Maager of Niles; his children, Suzette Doolittle (Jim), Diane Sharkey (Joe) and Carl Robert DeLand (Christine); and his sister Marie Jo Springer. He is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
