With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William R. Minney of Newport, Michigan, born in Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on March 15, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Minney and Ruth Minney (Maurer); and his siblings, Russell, Jr., Thomas, John, Raymond, James, Leatrice Smith, Charlotte Hartman and Charon Beeler.
He is survived by: his former wife Geneva D. Weiss (Castillo); his wife Joanne Minney (Cvengros); his children, William Minney of Monroe, Steven Minney (Liane) of Monroe, Michael Minney (Dari) of Petersburg, Denise Minney of Monroe and Mark Minney (Michelle) of LaSalle; his stepchildren, Mark May of Chicago, Laurie Stanifer (Tim) of Reelsville, Debbie May of Livonia, Tina May of White Lake, JoAnn Hockman (Josh) of St. Augustine and Terri Ziegler of Monroe; his siblings, Edward Minney (Patricia) of Tawas City, Michigan, Bonnie Ish of Monroe and Sandra Feaganes (Carl) of Carleton; and his sister-in-law Maria Minney of Monroe. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or St. Mary Catholic Church.
