With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Allen Miekos Jr. of Newport, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Miekos and Helen Miekos (Molinda); and his siblings, Leonard Miekos, Carol Ziegler, Nancy Dye and Donald Miekos.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Miekos; his children, Robin Brinkman (Neal), Denise Miekos and Ryan Miekos (Mindy); his stepchildren, Lonnie Peterlin (Tammie) and Cory Peterlin (Amanda); his grandchildren, Reid, Alicia, Ryan, Jackson and Cole; his stepgrandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Brooklyn, Brittany, Marissa, Carson and Wyatt; his great grandchildren, Alivia, Aiden, Cecelia and Xavier; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Dawson, Scarlet and Carter.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bobcean Funeral Home (1142 Monroe St, Carleton, MI 48117). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel (1142 Monroe St, Carleton, MI 48117).
