She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Gillem and Margaret "Peggy" Gillem; and her sister Debbie Caruana. She is survived by: her husband Fred Montalvo; her children, Britany Montalvo (Kenny King) and Dillon Montalvo (Kelsey); and her sister Lori Tecmire (Jim).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monroe Humane Society.
