He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Marion Gonia Sr. and Margaret Gonia Jr. (Bomia); his wife Mary Gonia; his brother Leo Gonia; and his stepchildren, Laurie Rumbaugh and Kevin Waldvogel.
He is survived by: his sister Denise Palmer (Alvin) of Newport, Michigan; and his stepgrandchildren, Brock Rumbaugh (Kennedy Shasteen), Braelyn Kimball (Eric), Darby Rumbaugh, Keegan Waldvogel and Trevor Waldvogel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Foundation in Ron's memory.
