He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Toffen and Margaret Toffen; and his brother Larry Toffen. He is survived by: his daughters, Tiffany Toffen (Jack) and Natalie Carroll (Josh); his grandchildren, Mileena, Dalton and Jack; his former wife Claudia Helton; and his brothers, Jerry Toffen (Germaine) and Lester Toffen (Carol). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
