He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Collier and Mildred Collier; his son Nelson Collier; and his brothers, Gary and Joe Collier.

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Collier; his children, Nathan Curtis and Natalie Podpora (Frank); his adoptive daughter Melanie Slaught; his siblings, Jackie Smith and James Collier; his grandchildren, Candace, Bryce, Frank, Naiden and Tara; and his great grandchildren, Caspyn and Cassius. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
