She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Wilhelm and Paulena Wilhelm (Friedrichsen); her husband Donald Van Buskirk; her daughter Suzanne Hood (Ron); and her siblings, Lucille Wilhelm, Irene Wolpert, John Wilhelm, Cleo Domkowski and Vernice Hosley.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra LaFaut (Bob) of Monroe, Jerry Van Buskirk (Joyce) of Monroe and Jeffrey Van Buskirk (Traude) of Chattanooga, TN..
She made many quilts to donate to the Red Cross or for other needy families in this area and sent quilts to hurricane victims in Florida.
