He is survived by: his parents, Gene Varner and Theresa Varner (Russell) of Monroe; his wife Kayla D. Howard; his sons, Colton, Nolan and Griffin; his brother Gene Varner, II (Ashley) of Shelby Twp; and his parents-in-law, Edward and Rhonda Howard of Monroe. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
