She was predeceased by: her parents, William Simmons and Janice Simmons; her sister Linda Simmons; and her nephew Dewey Thomas Webb. She is survived by: her husband Richard Shook; her sons, Nicholas Shook (Cassandra), Zachary Shook and Benjamin Shook (Kailynne); her grandchildren, Madison, Ashleigh, Chelsea and Levi; her siblings, Janet Webb (Dewey) and Kennie Simmons; and her niece Laura Webb.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County.
