He was predeceased by: his sister Shelly Farris; and his stepmother Sherry Farris. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Farris; his daughters, Megan Farris and Melanie Menard (Mike); his grandchildren, Miranda Menard, Mason Menard and Devyn Sims; his parents, Robert Farris Sr. and Shelcie Croley; and his sisters, Robin Schmidt (Sean) and Tara Farris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; many friends; a tight-knit group of co-workers; and feline companion.
In 2014, he was honored to receive the PHIL Award from the nationally recognized FACES Foundation, a distinction given to outstanding respiratory therapists.
