With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Edward Harjes of Newberry, Michigan, born in Pentwater, Michigan, who passed away on May 30, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Ruth Harjes (Iteen); and his sister Maggie. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Niswonger of Newberry; his children, Kathryn Braden of Ohio and Thomas Harjes Jr. of Michigan; and his stepchildren, Leo St. Germaine of Newberry, Everett St. Germaine of White Cloud, Edith St. Germaine of Baldwin and Lela St. Germaine of White Cloud. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
