He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley and Reba Welty (Leazier); and his wife Rose Ann Berry. He is survived by: his children, Michael Welty (Angela) of Negaunee and Michelle Browning (Darren) of Garnet; his grandchildren, Michael Welty (Brandi) of Missouri, Kyle Welty (Faith) of Negaunee, Jacob Blakely of Tempe, Arizona and Makayla Blakely of Tempe, Arizona; his great grandchild Elayne Welty of Negaunee; and his sister Alice Williams (Jerry) of Tennessee.
