We bid farewell to Daniel LeRoy Sturgeon of Newberry, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 1, 2025 at the age of 67. Daniel LeRoy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sturgeon Jr. and Patricia Gordon (Deverney); his in-laws, Dolly Fox (Ken) and Charles McNamara; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Sturgeon, Timothy Sturgeon, Donald "Craig" Gordon and Meg Bullis.

He is survived by: his wife Retha "Jayne" of Newberry; his children, Kay Petersen (Joel), Brian Sturgeon, Danny McNamara (Jamie), Julie Bolda (Chris), Sara Taylor (Joe) and Keri Sturgeon (Steve); and his siblings, Jean Struntz (Wally) of Grand Haven, Dave Sturgeon (Alyce) of Fruitport, Allen Sturgeon (Lori) of Muskegon, Kathy McNamara (Tom) of Newberry, Johnny Gordon (Andrea) of Newberry, Jackie Whalen (Joe) of Newberry, Amy Geeck (Jon) of Coleman and Kathy Fetter (Dale) of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
