He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Emert and Dorothy Emert (Sutton); his brother-in-law Larry Berndt; his granddaughter Stephanie Emert; his stepmother Fern Emert (Marvin Helton); and his stepsister Janet Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Ricky L. Emert, Pamela S. Koran (Darrell) and Randall S. Emert (Kelly North); his sister Jacqueline Vredeveld (Jay); his sister-in-law Ruth Berndt; and his stepsiblings, Marilyn Helton (Larry Powell) and Chuck Bergman (Gayle). He is also survived by many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
