He was predeceased by: his mothers, Lora Bassett and Lillian Bassett (Ramsey); his wife Mary Jean Bassett (Austin); his son Tommy Bassett; his daughter-in-law Vicky Bassett; his siblings, Don Bassett and Dorothy Larson; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Bassett, Roger Taylor and Bob Larson.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Lynn Merrow (Chris), Bob Bassett Jr., Mike Bassett (Helen Denno) and Barbie Bassett (Travis Gress); his grandchildren, Ashley, Robin, Robert III, Destiny, Devin, Desiree, Crystal, Ryan, Ronnie and Katie; and his sister Gloria Taylor. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
