He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Scott Ranger; his mother Laura Tjalma; and his sister Kay Myott. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lydon of Newaygo; his grandchildren, Christopher Ranger (Felicia), Kenneth Ranger (JoJo) and Casey Ranger (Timothy); his great grandchildren, Timothy Scott Ranger II, Jackson Ranger, Sophia Ranger, Cheri Jo Ann Ranger and Charles "Charlie" Emmit Peak; his brother Marvin Tjalma (Denise) of California; his nephew Justin Tjalma (Heather) of California; and his nieces, Tracy Williams (Joe) of Connecticut and Kelly Bigelow (Josh) of Maryland.
