She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles VanNess and Laura Louise VanNess (Purcell); her husband Joseph; her siblings, Lois Elaine VanNess, Dorothy May Meyer and Charles "Bud" VanNess; and her son-in-law William Leaver.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Petz Leaver, Steve Petz, John Petz (Deede) and Mark Petz (Michelle); her grandchildren, Dr. Anna Papes (Paul), Mackenzie Adama (Susan), Emily Adama (Terrence Campagna), Abraham Leaver, Rylee Beauvais (Jason), Miranda Walsh (Levi), Dana Petz (Derek Davidson), Aidan Petz and Joshua McLenithan; her great grandchildren, Aaron Papes, Eli Papes, Milan Papes, Therrien Potter, Peyton Leaver, Madison Leaver, Tara McAlpine (Kyle), Gaitlin Walsh, Emerson Walsh, Breslyn Walsh, Rowan Walsh and Drake Davidson; and her pet Kits. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
