It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ames (Newaygo, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on February 2, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Hink and Hulda Hink; her spouse Robert Ames; her son-in-law James Emmons; her granddaughter Jennifer Ames; her brother Louis Hink; her children, Martha Emmons of Newaygo, Rose Berger (Paul) of Houghton Lake, MI., Patricia Ames of Houghton Lake, MI., Edward Ames (Jane) of Fremont, Karen Ames of Seattle, WA. and Diann Powell (Edward) of Grand Rapids; her grandchildren, Kristie Shah (Sandeep), Mike Ames (Jessica), Dan Ames (Sarah), Cait Powell, Liam Barry and Aidan Barry; and her great grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Kaitlyn, Abby, Hannah, Jessica and Rachel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Love INC of Newaygo County.
