He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Gillhespy and Mildred Gillhespy (Phillips); and his brothers, Ed Gillhespy, Bill Gillhespy and Bob Gillhespy.
He is survived by: his spouse Maxene Daniels; his children, Mark Gillhespy (Gail) of Walker, Jim Gillhespy (Molly) of Whitehall, Pam Rickli (Ron) of Kalamazoo and Sue Gillhespy-Adams of Elsie; and his sister Maryann Borgeson (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
