He is survived by: his wife Susan Dietz of Newaygo; his son Andrew Charles Tyler Phillippy of Grand Rapids; his sister Cindy Glidewell of Finger, Tennessee; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Frens (Wayne) and William "Bill" Dietz (Ronda).
