He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William VanAsselt and Jennie VanAsselt (Carp); his siblings, Don VanAsselt (Ernestine), Jean Keas (Jerry) and Jim VanAsselt; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Carla VanAsselt; his wife Alberta VanAsselt; his children, Dave VanAsselt and Marlene See; and his stepsons, Scott and Mark Lazarov.
