He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Rickner and Rhea Rickner; his son Scott Rickner; and his sister June Rickner. He is survived by: his wife Linda Rickner; his sons, Jim Rickner (Jean) and Todd Rickner (Angie); and his grandchildren, Tricia Vance (Kevin), TJ Rickner (Ashley), Ryan Rickner, Jacob Rickner (Brittany) and Jenna Rickner. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and several brothers & sisters-in-law, as well as nieces & nephews.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Alton Cemetery.
