Elta Mae Shoemaker Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2025, at the age of 100, Elta Mae Shoemaker (Newaygo, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Cooper and Josie Cooper; her husband Charles "Chuck" Shoemaker; and her siblings, Andrew, Myrtle, Lester, Glenn and Kelsey.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Shoemaker of Byron Center and Donna Toth (Thomas) of Newaygo; her grandchildren, Chelly Hegedus (Steve), Mark Shoemaker, Steven Shoemaker (Erike) and Bryan Toth; and her great grandchildren, Kylie, Emily Shoemaker, Shelby Beukema (Joel), Elisha Toth and Ethan Toth.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fields-McKinley Funeral and Cremation Services Newaygo Chapel (226 State St, Newaygo, MI 49337). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
