As Edgar departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Edgar may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Edgar leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smith and Sarah Smith (Eaton); and his son Jerry Lee Smith. He is survived by: his wife Leoria Mae Smith; and his children, Bud Smith, Victor Smith, Alan Smith, Shona Sipperley (Rick) and Dawn Kerr (Mitch). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fields-McKinley Funeral and Cremation Services Grant Chapel (45 E Main St, Grant, MI 49327). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Fields-McKinley Funeral and Cremation Services - Grant (45 E Main St, Grant, MI 49327).
