He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Newberry and Geraldine Newberry (Dolberg); his daughter Ashley Jo Newberry; his sister Susan Newbery; and his grandchildren, Kalie and Carter Holmes.

He is survived by: his children, Danya Lane Newberry and David J Newberry; his grandchildren, Lillian Holmes, Hunter Holmes and Jacob Holmes; and his siblings, John Newberry (Joan) and Jill Newberry-Johnson (Jerry).

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations made to the funeral home to cover funeral expenses.
