He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Berles and Evelyn Berles (Johnson); and his brothers, Ed Johnson and James Berles. He is survived by: his wife Hulda Stedman; his children, Julie Schmuker (Mark), John Berles (Vicki) and Jerry Berles (Christine); his brother Richard Berles (Norma); and his sisters-in-law, Josephine Johnson and Joyce Dee Berles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and several very close friends.
