He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Afton and Nellie Afton (DeYoung); and his sister Sandra Koenes. He is survived by: his children, Bobbie "Sassi" Wash (Frank), Heidi Johnson (Jeremy), Charlie Afton (Janet), Jodi Deems and Marc Clement; his grandchildren, Wylie Johnson, Afton Johnson, Shelby Robinson, Casey Robinson, Corey Robinson, Autumn Afton, Samantha Monson (Derek), Coleman Clement and Yushan Xie; his great grandchildren, Layla, Michael and Theodore; his sibling Terry Afton (Sandra); and the mother of his children Janice Richardson.
