She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Smith and Margaret Smith (Fenner); her son Matthew Scott Coles; and her brother Franklin Smith. She is survived by: her children, Jocelyn Cash (Richard) of Milton, FL, Lisa VanBeek of Ravenna, MI, Sarah Alt of Fremont, MI, Dan Coles of Grant, MI, Ed Coles (Jerrie) of Hamilton, MI and Jacob Stults (Cassie) of Newaygo, MI; and her brothers, David Smith (Kate) and Allen Smith (Juli). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.
