He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Bode and Leona Bode (Bean); his daughter Susan Bode; and his siblings, Herman Bode, Jr. and Dorothy Westbrook.
He is survived by: his wife Celia "Sue" Laisure; his daughters, Linda Bode of Newaygo, Laura Gerencer (Bernie) of Newaygo, Sandy Wolford (Rolly) of Newaygo, Becky Johnson, Char Butler and Chucky Pummel; his grandchildren, Ryan Wolford (Kristy), Jason Wolford (Katie), Travis Gerencer, Jillian Pulaski (Kevin) and Leah Gerencer; his great grandchildren, Alyssa Wolford, Layla Wolford, Caroline Wolford, Braden Wolford, Wyatt Pulaski and Kevin Griswold; his siblings, Jane Bode-Fowler (Robert) and Jim Bode (Jo); and his siblings-in-law, Russell Laisure, Ed Cleek and Marilynn Bode. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
