It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen B. Wakefield of New Lothrop, Michigan, born in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Glauth and Helena Glauth (Ligdorf); her husband Max H. Wakefield; her grandson Gavin Roslund; and her great grandchild Soren Dykstra.
She is survived by: her children, Glenda Roslund (Skip) of Denver, Cheryl Swartzlander (Henry) of Danville, Gary Wakefield (Paula Rae) of Hector, Mark Wakefield of New Lothrop and Bryan Wakefield of Colorado Springs, Colorado.; her grandchildren, Erik Roslund, Katie Szutu, Sarah Roslund, Alicia Dykstra, Jillian Severn, Amanda Kosek, Andrew Wakefield, Brendan Roslund, Courtney Keough and Amy Hinz; and her great grandchildren, Damien Wakefield, Knox Severn, Hailey Severn, Zachary Szutu, Silvia Dykstra, Max Severn, Beaux Severn, Maren Dykstra and Emma Keough.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project and Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
