He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herald and Lizzie Herald (Raleigh); his wife Rhonda Herald (Seeback); his son Ray Herald; and his siblings, Roy, Ray, Troy and Gertie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Borrow (Tim) and Dana Herald; his stepsons, Jeff Sari and Destry Sari; and his sister Emma Williams. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.
