He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his siblings, Thomas Hakim Jr. (Karen), Elizabeth Karrat (Fred) and Barbara Hakim; and his friend Jax. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins.

A memorial service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (21620 Greater Mack Ave, St Clair Shores, MI 48080).

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Larry's memory may contribute to Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society.
