She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hoyer and Margaret Hoyer (Reames); her husband Charles "Bud" Simon; and her siblings, Robert Hoyer and Mary Hoyer.

She is survived by: her daughter Shelly Simon Rolf (Scott) of Geneva; her grandsons, Jason and Lucas; her daughter Stacey Simon Yde (Gregg) of New Orleans; her grandson Austin Yde (Miranda); her sons, Shepherd Charles Yde (Norma) and Gary Janssen (Amy); her grandchildren, Steven Janssen (Annie) and Caden Janssen; her sister Marilyn Munn (Gordon); and her siblings-in-law, Julie Hoyer, Dick Simon and Terry Simon (Shari). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
