He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Heykoop and Minnie Heykoop (TenBrink); his siblings, Gerald Heykoop (Betty) and Wilma Vannette (Chuck); and his granddaughter Tiffany Ottman.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Heykoop (Ackley); his sister Carol Wiers; his children, Daniel Heykoop (Jodi) and Kara Ottman (Steve); his daughter-in-law Colleen Heykoop; his grandchildren, Felicia Heykoop, Kaela Brower, Micah Heykoop (Bethany), Morgan McLouth (Jake), Stephen Ottman (Emma) and Hannah Heykoop; and his great grandchildren, Max Cubillos, Landon Brower, Lexi Brower and Tessa Ottman.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations go to Moody Bible Institute or Shelby Road Baptist Church Missionary Fund.
