We are sad to announce that on April 27, 2023, at the age of 82, Shirley Ann Basinger of New Buffalo, Michigan, born in Michigan City, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Salat and Irene Salat (Batzel); and her brothers, Richard Batzel and Andrew Salat. She is survived by: her husband John William Basinger; her children, Daniel Basinger of New Buffalo, Anthony Basinger (Nancy) of LaPorte, Mark Basinger (Trish) of LaPorte, Julie Schavey of Chesterton and Tammy Hutcheson (Greg) of Grand Haven; her grandchildren, Brad, Ashley, Casey, Samantha, Brenna, Spencer, Jacob, Ryan, Holly and Delaney; and her siblings, James Salat (Jackie) of Michigan City, Thomas Salat (Anita) of Michigan City, Sandra Church of LaPorte and Stella Schweizer (Don) of Michigan City. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
