With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Lawrence Tomes of New Boston, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2025 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald and Margaret; his daughter Monica Tomes; and his siblings, Donald "Butch" and Sandy.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his grandson Todd Fields; his great grandchildren, Logan, Londyn and Winter; and his siblings, Mark Tomes (Jan) and Ruby Hess. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Humane Society in Gary's memory, reflecting his compassionate spirit and love for animals.
