He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; and his parents, August Maiani and Virginia Maiani. He is survived by: his children, James Maiani (Merry), Susan Hughes (Sean), Gail Deneszczuk (William) and Gina Bergmooser (late Alan); his grandchildren, Anthony Maiani, Amanda Frye (Jason), Gregory Deneszczuk, Lauren Deneszczuk, Anna Deneszczuk, Christopher Bergmooser (Courtney), Jenna Knoll (Dallas) and Alyssa Bergmooser; his great grandchildren, Luke, Ryan and Will Frye; his close friend Jeanette Byrd; and his siblings, John Bertoia and Mary Zucchet.
