He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Sr. Furister and Arletta Furister (Lawler); the mother of his children Myrna Furister (Michaud); his former wife Mary Furister (Messacabagge); his wife Ethel Furister (Olah); and his siblings, Betty Maxwell and Fred Furister.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel E. Furister, Diane Ruegsegger (Paul), Karen Maricak (John) and Dale R. Furister (Beth); and his siblings, Cheryl Whittmore and William Furister. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great grandson.
