He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Westermann and Mary Westermann; his daughter Anna Marie Westermann; his son-in-law Michael; and his great grandchild Wyatt.

He is survived by: his siblings, Phyllis Kunst, Sonny Kunst, Catherine Kunst, Mary Jo Westermann, Helen Kunst, Joseph Westermann Jr. Charles Westermann, Dorothy Westermann, William Westermann and George Westermann; his children, Kathleen Welch (late Michael), Phillip Westermann (Donna), Teresa Hutchinson (Doug), Kurt Westermann (Debra), Steven Westermann (Maria) and Mary Anne Polk; his grandchildren, Kristie, Michael (Mandy), Brandie (Andrew), Brian (Erin), Mark, Melissa (Ashwin), Amy, Jessica, Amber (Paul), Jaclyn (Steve), Amanda (Chris), David (Natalie), Chelsea, Holly, Ellyse, Joseph, Joshua and Kevin; his great grandchildren, PJ, Nicholas, Joey, Angel, Mary Ann, Michael III, Tyler, Kailey, Georgia, McKenzie, Maddy, Bryan, Madelyn, Lucas, Ashton, Lyla, Savannah, Samantha, Violet, Henry, Fynn and Charly; and his wife Violet Westermann. He is also survived by his six children, and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
