He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Nimety; his wife Geraldine Nimety; and his mother Ann Scharmen. He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Nimety and Jennifer Lacey; his sister Joann Bierkamp; and his grandchildren, Ethan Haines, Lila Haines and Kaylee Bukowski.

He consistently made donations to the Humane Society and animal rescue groups, ensuring that all animals received the care and attention they deserved.
