He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Newlin (Ted) and Janet Newlin Coleman. He is survived by: his stepmother Peggy Newlin; his wife LeeAnn Newlin (Rees); his children, Johnny Jr. Newlin (Dawn) and Jayne Thiel (Jay Carrigan); his grandchildren, Johnny Newlin III and Mya Thiel; his sisters, Debbie Newlin Gibson, Denise Parrott (Leo) and Judy Schlaufman Roegner; his siblings-in-law, Jim Rees (Lori), Tina Rackley (Ernie) and Bill Rees (Jeannie); and his aunt Barb. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
