He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert T. Hurttgam and Laura E. Saal Hurttgam; his wife Frances Imogene Middleton; his niece Linda Hummel; and his siblings, Herbert Jr. and Leona Hummel.
He is survived by: his children, Mark, John and Jane Hurttgam; his grandson Benjamin Hurttgam; his nieces, Laura Hummel, Patricia Podolan (Ed), Velora Middleton (Eric) and Debbie Earle (Bob); and his nephew William Hummel.
