He was predeceased by: his son James; and his parents, Arthur and Olga. He is survived by: his spouse Ruth; his children, Nancy Duchane (Frank), Michael (Marie), Daniel and Sara Follebout (David); his child-in-law Michelle Nichols Amore; his grandchildren, Nicole Golm (Tim), Brian Nichols (Sarah), Jessica, Samantha Follebout, Jacob Nichols, Theodore and Tyler Reaume; and his great grandchildren, Christian, Kayla Nichols, Nolan and Lillie Golm. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
