He was predeceased by: his son Gregory Milstead. He is survived by: his spouse Sandra Milstead; his children, Brian Milstead, Beth Milstead Taszreak (Aaron), Salvatore Bonello (Debra) and Frances Bonello Forkin (Michael); his grandsons, Nicholas Forkin, Matthew Forkin, Alexander Bonello, Bobby Milstead, Aiden Taszreak and Collin Taszreak; and his friend Duane Breidert.
