He is survived by: his father Thomas Allen Hyslop, Sr.; his wife Wendy Hyslop (Kyllonen); his mother Joyce Hyslop of Marquette; his daughters, Chelsea Syrek (David) of Channing and Rajani Hyslop of Ishpeming; his grandson Jack Syrek; and his brother Mike Hyslop (Mary Sue) of Houghton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Tom received a national award in 2019 from the Blues Foundation for Keeping the Blues Alive.
