He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Tobias Savolainen and Hilda Savolainen (Albrecht); his children, John Savolainen (Sue), Jonelle Riley (Mike), George Savolainen (Debbie Leiviska), Karen Saari (Marty) and Brian Savolainen (Lynn Mileski); his grandchildren, Brandon Sundberg (Teresa), Gena Johnson (Mark), Peter Savolainen (Alicia), Tom Savolainen, Greg Savolainen, Kyle Saari (Lisa) and Amelia Frederickson (Bryan); his great grandchildren, Zachary Johnson, Annah Johnson, Sam Sundberg, Rolan Sundberg, Olli Savolainen, Sami Savolainen and Easton Saari; his brother-in-law Eino Kangas; his wife Bertha; and his siblings, Toivo Savolainen, Taito Savolainen, Aili Crowley, Elizabeth Kevern and Anna Savolainen As. He was also cherished by his children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Tarmo's memory to Eastwood Nursing Center or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
