He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Smith (Rajala); his children, Darren Smith of Negaunee, David Smith (Amy) of Waupun, WI, Robert Smith (Michelle DesJardins) of Negaunee, Jane Cotterman (Duane) of Negaunee Township and Jill Faleafine (Robert) of Kapolei, HI; his stepchildren, Kevin Asgaard (Britt Bush) of Grand Rapids, Gregory Asgaard of Thailand and Heather Hart (Brian) of Auburn Hills, MI; his grandchildren, Kayla Lee (Jeremy), Robert Faleafine, Jr., Rachel Ward (Brandon), Rylee Gustafson, Lilly Cotterman, Jordan Smith, Drue Smith, Stephanie Smith, Ryan Detert, Logan, Briella Hart and Danika Charontong; his great grandchildren, Coraline, Owen, Amelia and Maverick; his brother Michael Smith (Bryn); his siblings-in-law, John Rajala, David Jarvi (Ann), Michael Jarvi (Marcia), James Jarvi (Sheila), Jeff Jarvi (Lora), James Skewis (Vicki), Philip 'AJ Johnson, Doris Smith, Christine Wolter (Carl) and Kate Peterson; and his pet Cooper. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
