He is survived by: his children, Todd Kauppinen (Heidi), Dr. Teri Howes (Karen Wolin), Kyle Paredes, Kevin Paredes (Sarah Maisonneuve) and Meredith Winning; and his siblings, Michael Kauppinen and Karen Riekki (Gerald). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
