He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kobie and Esther Kobie (Jodrell); his wife Clarice; his sons, Oscar, Gary and Larry Kobie; his grandchildren, Amy Melusky and Payton McCabe; his half-sister Evelyn Cardew (Roy); and his siblings, Pearl Hautamaki (William), Opal Oien (Paul), Ella Kytosaari (William), Alice Warren (Thomas) and Frank Kobie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Juopperi (Jim) of Negaunee, Faye Prudom (Scott) of Marquette and Karen Melusky (Kenneth) of Fairview Heights, IL; his grandchildren, Tammy Kelley (Marty), April Holm (Chris), James Juopperi, Heather McCabe (William), Ashley Hill (William), Jackie Kabbes (Tyler) and Jennifer Vincent (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Taylor, Emma, Madison, Ava Kelley, Caden, Griffen Holm, Tristan, Jaxson, Adilynn McCabe, Jailen, Vienna Hill and Lucas Vincent; and his sister-in-law Etta Jo La Fayette.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Oscar's memory to the DJ Jacobetti Home for Veterans Activity Fund.
